I use the rpi-imager to install debian images for rpi4 using the "custom". unfortunately the advanced options do not work for "custom". could this be fixed by adding the debian images to the "other general purpose OS"?

thank you for a helpful tool!

Just out of curiosity, what's the reason for wanting to use Debian, rather than Raspberry Pi OS? (which is itself based on Debian)

I want to have a clean debian without "additions and improvements" - which are often poorly documented. Debian is somewhat a standard and for it lots of help are found on the web and other packages can be installed without problems. In one word "cleanliness". The "tested images" are available for all raspis and in general work well.
