Screenshots on a multi-display system

i want to take a screenshot of the currently focused monitor, is this possible?
i assumed that this was the case by default as the flag --multidisp exists, but doing screenshots without this flag still captures both monitors
i am aware that it is possible to select a display with --display but the behaviour i desire is to screenshot only the monitor which my cursor is on
window manager is BSPWM

scrot has a --monitor/-M switch which accepts which monitor to capture. Combine this with some tool that can output the currently focused monitor number and you should be able to get what you what:

$ scrot -M $(current_monitor)

Currently there's no way to do this in scrot without help from external tool. But it seems like a reasonable feature request, so PRs are welcome.
