Xset error "unable to open display"

The monitor entitie is not available: with error Monitor: Xset not supported: Xset dpms error: xset: unable to open display ""

But when i use xset -display :0.0 dpms force off on the cli it works,

How can i make this work?

Hi, can you tell me the output of echo $DISPLAY ?

This returns blank,
Should i register a display variabel? And does this need to be :0.0 or localhost:0.0? or something differtent.

Are you running IoTuring in a Docker container ?
However, if you can define the DISPLAY variable to :0.0 in the IoTuring scope, that would be a valid test.

Not running in a docker, just on a PI4 with bullseye.

After setting DISPLAY and display (just to be sure) in bashrc to :0.0 still gives the same error at disabled entities.

@infeeeee regarding this, should we add the option to speicify the monitor to cotnrol for the Monitor entity ?

I would love to but unfortunately I'm running another system for my dashboard at the moment and can't test it.
