multiple notes (named appropriately) instead of multiple sections in one note?

If I had notes named like this:
John 1.1
John 1.2
John 1.3
John 1.4

It would be great to quote [[John 1.2::John 1.3]] to see the content of notes 2 and 3.

That’s probably doable, but not a super simple change. I’m leveraging the built-in hover preview functionality with this, which only supports showing content from a single note. However, I may end up modifying this plugin to use a custom popover implementation to be more flexible, and if that happens then I could support this use case.

I am also interested in the same functionality. Particularly if all the linked notes had the same header in them, do you think it would be possible to link to the range of notes, and only that specified header?

For example, with notes named like:
John 1.1
John 1.2
John 1.3
John 1.4

And each having the same level heading:

Original Text

Could the original text header be linked across the multiple files into the custom preview?
