1 second delay between touching links and starting animations

there is about 1 second delay between touching links and starting the animations(tested on android 4.1.2).
actually the animations run smoothly BUT the 1 second delay is a pain in the ... !
the fun part is that animations work perfectly when testing in desktop chrome with or without touch emulation enabled .
