You need to select Loopback TNC and enable own APRS to APRS-IS |

I've got TNC transport type set to Loopback. Enable KISS on. Enable APRS on. Set my callsign, SSID, symbol and comment. Location settings coming from Periodic GPS position, uncompressed. Enable APRS-IS on. Internet APRS-IS passcode and server set. RX gate off, Enable own APRS to APRS-IS on. I have confirmed on the server's :14501 status page that the client is connected and verified and I see the configured Packet filter. When I do a "Send Position", I see the callsign->APZMDM in the upper right corner and the listening ear in the center for a short bit. But nothing shows up in the :14501 counters nor on the APRS-IS itself. So I'm apparently still missing something. Traffic IS coming in from the APRS-IS that matches my filter and shows up on the map. |

Is it possible to configure codec2_talkie to only transmit positions via the APRS-IS and not have a configured TNC or audio interface? I'd like to do some testing, but not ready to put it on the air yet.
