the "color" property is only set in one channel, so the image is always in greyscale. Is it something important to fix ?

It will be nice to see color images in colors.

Is there a way to detect it directly from the sourcefile instead of adding a new get parameter?

Yes, we can detect automatically the number of bands, I have a fix in #7
