I'm working on a project which uses the Make Me a Hanzi data, and I've had to make a few corrections in the pronunciation. Now I'm not 100% sure what pronunciation standards are being used here, but for example...
I've only ever seen 卓 zhuó such as in 卓越 (zhuó yuè). But...
{"character":"卓","definition":"profound, lofty, brilliant","pinyin":["zhuō"],"decomposition":"⿱⺊早","etymology":{"type":"ideographic","hint":"To foresee ⺊ the dawn 早 coming; 早 also provides the pronunciation"},"radical":"十","matches":[[0],[0],[1],[1],[1],[1],[1],[1]]}
So I suggest changing this zhuō to zhuó. I notice that Wiktionary lists zhuō as a possible pronunciation,
Similarly:
- 萎 is listed as first tone (wēi), but it seems like it should be wěi such as in 枯萎 (kū wěi); the CC-CEDICT dictionary says first tone in Taiwan. I'm not sure if this is intentional.
- 沈 is almost always shěn, but is listed as chén
- 甚 is normally shèn, but is listed as shén, which I understand is when 甚么 is used as 什么, which is quite rare I think.
- 罗 is normally luó, but it's listed as luō; I'm not aware of any cases where it is pronounced first tone.
- 茸 in my 现代汉语词典 dictionary is listed as róng, but is listed as rōng. Maybe there's some rare usage or dialect issue here, but I think it's just róng.
- 诘 is normally jié (as in 诘问 jié wèn), but is listed as jí. (Baidu Baike includes jí as a possibility though.)
- 迹 is normally jì (as in 奇迹 qí jì), but is listed as jī (Taiwanese pronunciation).
- 驯 is normally xùn, but it's listed as xún (Taiwanese pronunciation).
- 摒 too, it's listed as bǐng, but it should be bìng
- 澎 is listed as pēng, but it should be second tone, such as in 澎湃 (péng pài).
(It seems I can edit; I'll edit this list if I find more.)
