Lesson 7: yarn hardhat doesnt have 'Create an advanced sample project option'

In lesson 7,when patrick collins runs yarn hardhat he gets an option called:
Create an advanced sample project option

But the options that are available to me are the following;

What do you want to do? …
▸ Create a JavaScript project
Create a TypeScript project
Create an empty hardhat.config.js
Quit

It doesnt contain patrick's option,so what do i do

My version of hardhat is :

v2.12.2

It would be really great if someone could answer my question..

@jovinkassi Leave your repo link please, your package.json file does not contain a solhint dependency, I will fix it.

Also, you should copy the require statements (hardhat.config.js file) from the repo while learning.

yeah i merged it in github,and i have 3 changed files in github
But i dont see any changes to thoes files in Vscode

Ah u have to choose create a javascript project.
If you are using latest yarn version ( which we suggest to do) then this commands may help you.

1. npm i -g corepack   -> installs yarn, check yarn --version, it should give the current version
2. yarn init 2 -y            -> gets package.json
3. yarn add --dev hardhat    -> adds hardhat
4. yarn hardhat          -> running this command should show all available options.
5. yarn add solhint     -> to install solhint

i tried each and every step of your method and i got this error:

I got the same problem ,but I fixed it by enter yarn solhint --init . your config file will be created , hope that can help you

hello ,i tried every possible method but i u was unsuccessful in finding a solution,
So i cloned the github repo from patrick sir.

it says done ,but then it also has alot of warnings ,do i have to worry about these warnings now?

No need to worry about that on this stage, it only advices you on best practices.

Got the same issue, Hardhat seems to not support the option to create advance project anymore.
Anyone got an idea?

@hungcuongthan Use the available option and then add other files manually.

After mkdir hardhat-fund-me-fcc and cd hardhat-fund-me-fcc, I execute yard add --dev [email protected] to install the same version with Patrick.
Keeping up with teacher's version will save you a lot of trouble.
