settings revert to original when computer is restarted

Hi, I've been using smplayer for years, never had this problem. Twice now, I have painstakingly set the toolbar controls to my preferences, but when the computer restarts, they are back to the original settings. Help!

Check the permissions of the SMPlayer configuration folder. Make sure it is writable

You can use the option Help -> Open configuration folder. Then check the permissions of that folder.
