URL listing name instead of address possible?

If I drop a URL into SMPlayer and later go back to find it in the “Recent” list, all I see is the raw URL, which doesn’t mean anything to me. In an earlier version of SMPlayer—and also in MPC-BE—the name of the video was shown instead of the URL. Is there a way to get the Windows 11 version I’m using now to display the video’s title instead of the URL? Thanks.

I can't reproduce this problem. Can you provide a URL with this problem?

This is how it shows in smplayer and the top of the youtube page's address bar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5nx8TfBUow&t=505s but in, for example, MPC-BE it shows the title "Texas Longhorns vs. Florida Gators | Full Game Highlights | ESPN College Football". That would be nicer when I have a number of URLs in the recent files. Thanks!

I'm afraid I still can't reproduce this issue. For me, it displays "2025 Week 5: Texas Longhorns at Florida Gators | Full Game" in the recent's menu.

Well, that's at least encouraging that it can show it. I am running the portable version. Like I said, I brought over the old config.ini file so I could keep my shortcuts. I don't really remember how many I changed. Maybe I'll try a reinstall full version although I like the portable apps when I can. Thanks.
