Hi, I'm Abdelraouf 👋

I'm a senior software engineer with 7+ years building production-grade software, and an indie macOS / iOS developer in my spare time.

Track record

• Storyteller (Senior Android Dev, '22–'25) — built the SDK powering video for the NBA, LaLiga, and Wimbledon Android apps. 10M+ monthly active users, 99.9% crash-free rate, sub-100ms init. Was promoted to Android Team Lead.
• Vodafone Mobile Financial Services (Android Dev, '21–'22) — built micro-lending and payment features for an 8M+ user super-app with 99.9% uptime. Resolved a critical security vulnerability identified in penetration testing that was being actively exploited.
• Google Africa Developer Scholarship (Mentor, '21–'23) — mentored 40+ developers to a 92% pass rate on the Google Associate Android Developer certification.

Why I do this

Most apps today exist to extract data, attention, or money. After years of building software for some of the largest mobile audiences on the planet, I've seen what telemetry-heavy products look like from the inside — and I want to ship the opposite.

Everything I build independently is privacy-first: no tracking, no analytics, no crash reporters, no ads, no accounts. Every app I ship can run with the network turned off. My CEH background means I treat user data like a liability, not an asset.
