I tried to self host this project and connect it with supabase database, yet it's not clear how to set the .env files and add the anon keys etc

Updating .env file in the docker compose was enough:

    env_file:
      - .env

for production on fly io you need to use flyio secrets: https://community.fly.io/t/support-fetching-variables-from-the-env-file/15523/7
