After a certain amount of time (say, 30 days? should be enough for developers?) shares should be removed from the "test" storage grid nodes.

Might be using https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/nixos-unstable/nixos/modules/system/boot/systemd/tmpfiles.nix ?
