Systemd with namespacing etc. provides lots of functionality to run services in a secure manner.
Tom had proposed https://whetstone.private.storage/privatestorage/PrivateStorageio/-/blob/develop/nixos/modules/restricted-service.nix for a Python-based service he intended to build.
We should have at least some of that to "lead by example" how to host a Tahoe-LAFS grid proper.

What are the mode bits of our state directories?
Shouldn't be world-accessible.
