Package xtop with venv/uv?

Hey Tanel, we're looking to package xtop and distribute as a debian. We'd probably package it in an isolated virtual environment, or better, use uv to manage the build. If this aligns with your roadmap I'm happy to create a PR for upstream. Let me know what you think!

Yes, I was thinking about using uv for this. For xcapture, I switched to cmake for building RPM, DEB packages. Would the uv approach also allow creating RPM, DEB eventually? (to standardize the install for people).

Note that I have some bugs and issues to fix in xtop (it's a mostly vibe-coded "reference implementation" / PoC). Hopefully have some time over the holidays!

Hmm I don't know. I was thinking about RPM and DEB specs that invoke uv to do the packaging, but I haven't tried that. I played around putting together an RPM spec which packages a venv in /opt/xtop
