Lightning Launcher cannot be installed from Quest Store

Lightning Launcher cannot be installed from the Quest 3 store because it says "This app is out of compliance with Meta's Platform Abuse Policy."

In the December 1 2025 Github entry here it says:

"🛍️ Now on the Meta Quest Store
For the first time ever, you can get a third party launcher from the Meta Quest Store - no sideloading shenanigans needed!
Due to permission restrictions, the store version is missing support for playtimes or shortcut services, but can still do everything you need.
Plus, you won't need to go to 'Unknown Sources' to find it!"

I've been posting updates on this on the discord.

The app was initially approved, but was later taken down despite no changes since initial review.

It took a few weeks to get a response from Meta on why the listing was removed, but this is what I have eventually received:

The reviewers claim here is verifiably false by looking at the store page - there is no mention of installing sideloaded apps.

I have submitted an update to the description which removes the mention of launching sideloaded apps. This is currently awaiting reviews.

tl;dr: Meta decided the app description violated an unwritten policy after approving it & are slow to respond.
