How would one try to make special waveforms on the POKEY? #2358

I've seen people make sawtooth/pwm such as this. I'm not really familiar with the chip, unfortunately. I've heard that you need to have the 1st or 3rd channel at 1.79 MHz. But all that does for me is make a high freq note. I wish I knew more about the POKEY chip, bc it's not your standard sound chip. It might only work for Raster Music Tracker from what I've heard. But if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. |

It involves enabling the "filter" in AUDCTL and then using channels 1 and 3 (or 2 and 4) in combination. Both channels play the same note, but channel 3 (or 4) is detuned (with effect E5xx) and its volume is set to 0. RMT automates this process but it is otherwise equivalent. |
