Is this something that would not be triggered on the server, but that is triggered on my computer due to some config?

This line

plan(multisession, workers = availableCores() - 3)

Should be asking for 5 cores, since availableCores() evaluates to 8.

If I debug, putting the breakpoint here:

The code runs just fine from here onward. It's just slow due to firing up sessions (right?).

Now in running the example live (not in debug mode), it executes correctly, and the only downside is the slowness due to parallel overhead.

Indeed, we only get the error in running devtools::check(). Do we need to add a parameter in DECRIPTION to allow workers?
