Hi all,
really great idea to clean up the taskbar 🥇
However, under win 11 pro 23H2, "taskbar groups" shows unexpected behaviours:

  1. when launching "taskbar groups" app, I always have to accept that a tool by an unknown developer shall be launched
  2. after confirming this, the "taskbar groups" app always opens two instances of the app
  3. after creating a new group and clicking on the group in the "taskbar groups" app, the folder "Desktop" is opened (instead of x:...\TaskbarGroups\Shortcuts)
  4. after adding a shortcut to the taskbar, and clicking on the new taskbar icon, I again have to accept to open a tool by an unknown developer
  5. after confirming, I get the following error message: "A part of the path x:...\TaskbarGroups\Shortcuts\config_groupname_\config...\Groupimage.png could not be loaded" (translated from German)
  6. after hitting , this message reappears once
  7. the icons of the apps in the group fixed to the taskbar appear in different sizes: sometimes in "normal" size, sometimes in larger (uglier) size
  8. It's partially not possible to open apps from the new group

Does anyone of you already had such strange behaviour?
Happy to get any feedback for issue solving

This software hasn't been updated in nearly 4 years, I wouldn't hold my breath on fixes for Windows 11

I'm also having issues with windows 11.

I can create a group pretty easily, but then clicking on that group on the taskbar doesn't seem to do anything.

Hello,
I also use TaskbarGroups on Windows 11, although it now has been upgraded to 24H2.
It seems to me that a point has been missed: everything is packed in the same directory, instead of having a program folder on one side, and a data folder on another.
From this, results that you have to deploy the application (the contents of the zip file) to a folder where the final user has write access.
You cannot install the application in the "Program Files" directory, otherwise you have many error messages that are difficult to debug.

I presume a work will have to be done to take care of updates of the application, to avoid erasing the existing shortcuts.
