question about daily handling

Hey,

I have a HMJ-2 since two days, since it is my first battery I have some questions about daily handling.
I have set it up via Bluetooth to mqtt. It speaks successfully with my home assistant thanks to this add-on.
So in my case, I have never seen the original app. I have tried but the battery doesn't show off on both phones.

My questions are:

1. my firmware is 108.7 should I upgrade the firmware or leave it since it worked?
2. what does Surplus Feed-in mean? it is enabled but I have no clue what it does
3. How can I enable Pass Trough for the Input 1 & 2?

Would be great if someone can give me some hints.
