Thanks for agreeing to collaborate on the official VSCode extension. You both now have full maintainer access to toon-format/vscode.

What's Ready

The repo has a bare minimum structure to get started:

• TypeScript setup with strict type checking
• ESLint + formatting configured
• Build pipeline (pnpm build, pnpm dev)
• Basic extension scaffolding
• VSCE_PAT for marketplace publishing is already configured in GitHub secrets

Next Steps

1. Technical Evaluation (async via issues/PRs):

   • Review each other's extensions and share learnings
   • Decide on approach: use one as base or merge best features
   • @eveiljuice – your README structure looks solid; I'd recommend using it as the starting point

2. Build Together:

   • Implement features collaboratively
   • Focus on spec compliance and VSCode best practices
   • Both of you have equal ownership – challenge everything

Key Priorities

• ✅ Full SPEC.md compliance
• ✅ Accurate syntax highlighting, formatting, validation
• ✅ Code completion and IntelliSense
• ✅ Keep code and docs concise – quality over quantity
• ✅ Avoid over-engineering; ship iteratively

I have a wish: Let's keep the README, docs, and code lean and maintainable. We all use AI tools, but let's be thoughtful about what we commit – prefer clarity and brevity over verbose generated content.

Speaking of the docs – I'd love to host the core docs over at the toonformat.dev website.
