In Typora 1.10.7 spellchecking does not work on Kubuntu 24.04.2 LTS snap #6281

@cjsteel Where are the dictionaries supposed to be installed with an |
Not sure, I tried a few things like copying them to potential locations and it didn’t work. Also tried adjusting the dictionary path in a conf file and eventually gave up did an apt purge and installed the previous version which is working as it should. I imagine that the dictionary and/or configuration location changed but I needed to get some work done so stopped troubleshooting |
Same issue on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS. Only happens with this new version. |
I see a typora-dictionaries file in .config that was update today. I think that location changed and that's the issue. |
Using
Typora 1.10.7
onKubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
installed viasnap
.Spell checking does not work.
Dialog "Dictionary file is missing to enable spellcheck support for English (US)." pops up, seems to install successfully, but does not work.
snap
remove and reinstall brought no changes. Trying to install another language shows the same behavior. Small exclamation mark triangle symbol keeps showing next to the language in the bottom bar. SelectingAuto Detect Language
or a concrete language leads to the same result.Trying to install other languages does not add files to the
Dictionaries
