Using Typora 1.10.7 on Kubuntu 24.04.2 LTS installed via snap.

Spell checking does not work.
Dialog "Dictionary file is missing to enable spellcheck support for English (US)." pops up, seems to install successfully, but does not work. snap remove and reinstall brought no changes. Trying to install another language shows the same behavior. Small exclamation mark triangle symbol keeps showing next to the language in the bottom bar. Selecting Auto Detect Language or a concrete language leads to the same result.

Trying to install other languages does not add files to the Dictionaries directory

$ ll ~/snap/typora/93/.config/Typora/Dictionaries

@cjsteel Where are the dictionaries supposed to be installed with an apt installation?

Not sure, I tried a few things like copying them to potential locations and it didn’t work. Also tried adjusting the dictionary path in a conf file and eventually gave up did an apt purge and installed the previous version which is working as it should. I imagine that the dictionary and/or configuration location changed but I needed to get some work done so stopped troubleshooting

Same issue on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS. Only happens with this new version.
Update:
Removed the snap package.
Installed with apt and works just fine.

I see a typora-dictionaries file in .config that was update today. I think that location changed and that's the issue.
ETA: no idea how to fix it...
