Review latest specifications from LAC (below) and generate a report of potential necessary changes:
Harvesting requirements
During testing, we modified the harvester as we encountered different situations, and we may continue to make modifications based on feedback in order to bring more universities on-board. Currently, the draft requirements are:
· Repository supports OAI-PMH v. 2.0 metadata harvesting
· Metadata available in ETD-MS format (v. 1.0 or 1.1)
· ETD-MS metadata contains minimally the following mandatory fields: title, creator, publisher, date, identifier, degree name
· ETD-MS identifier field includes URLs with filename extensions that point directly to the theses files (main PDF and supplementary files if applicable). The URLs must not have spaces or illegal characters.
