LGTM
If memory serves, Ubuntu ripped out quite a few packages from the default installation between 20.04 and 24.04. I'm not sure whether the CI for this PR is using the new config or the trunk config, but just something to be aware of if a CI failure pops up that might be related to a missing dependency.

They've started brownouts for our current ubuntu github actions runner: actions/runner-images#11101
This just does a search-replace to update to the recommended upgrade image.
