[feature request] "Outage" Category for Notes to Users #218
Comments
I wonder if this could be achieved by creating a resource called "Lab activities" or something like that, then have the relevant tools be partially dependent on it? |
It may also be reasonable to have an alert category that:
I don't know if that is easier or harder than the other suggestion. |
what about emailing qualified users? |
Hi all, Having some way to show on calendar any partially dependent resource outage might be useful, too. I think it is similar to #277: having either a tooltip, a notice or an additional popup warning when booking, might be useful for non-blocking tasks or outages. |
A facility/tool manager may want to notify users about activity that will be happening in a lab on a certain day. For example, if there is construction, cleaning, a tour, or some other short-term event that may impact the lab space but will not actively shut down the tool(s). There is no real problem using a tool/lab if someone is changing the lightbulbs in the lab, but users should be aware that someone will be in there moving a ladder around.
It would be nice to be able to put a notification on the calendar that is not an outage, but just a note to users that something is going on.
