How to add proton-ge-custom?

Hello, I would like to add the latest proton-ge-custom. This has improved performance and compatibility over regular proton. How would I go about downloading, and enabling it? I was going to create a feature request, however that feature seems to be disabled. I dont have a discord, so I figured that a discussion would be the better option.
