Fix double messages and kit selection sometimes not working

When entering chat messages it is possible to trigger a bug that causes the spawn screen to break.

This bug also causes chat messages to be sent twice.

The bug may be caused by opening the chat input quickly again after a chat message was sent, however i was not yet able to reproduce it.
