Spikes in seismic properties

Density, VS, KS, and QS each show spikes up or down at phase transitions, seeming to overshoot the jump in property values for a single layer. This behavior is not expected and might indicate an indexing problem or incorrect behavior in interpolation.

Mark Panning suggests that QS can be capped at an arbitrary large value, as above some threshold the rock behaves perfectly elastically. To confirm with Mark, but my recollection is he said 1e14 is a fine limit.
