Settings text fields are too small for newsletters and other large text uses

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. There are several large text uses in XMB settings that were lost in the 
transition to a key value pair
2. These uses include the newsletter, welcome message, board off message, and 
so on. 
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

These text fields must be returned somehow, certainly more than 256 characters.
