PHP 8.4 deprecation warnings

Since updating to PHP 8.4 this package throws numerous deprecation warnings.

These are fixed by PR #43

Until that PR is approved, merged, and a release made, I am using this patch based off commit b9f33d8. It can be installed with cweagans/composer-patches
