Hello everyone! 🌿
I’d like to introduce OS Yamato, an experimental digital operating system I’ve been building over the past three months — entirely solo, developed steadily every day alongside a full-time job.
Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, OS Yamato is designed to be a quiet, minimalist, and impermanent digital garden, rather than an endless data warehouse.
✨ Key Concepts
• Data blooms and fades: Notes, photos, contacts, and even chat messages will gently fade away if left untouched. After 365 days of no interaction, they return to the wind (are auto-deleted).
• Seasonal animations: Each interaction is accompanied by gentle, seasonal effects (like petals falling, bubbles, moonlight), turning each moment into a small poetic experience.
• No ads, no infinite scroll, no engagement traps: This is a place to breathe, not to endlessly scroll.
• Built for mindful interaction, not hoarding.
💻 Technical Highlights
• Frontend: Vue 3 + Vite
• Backend: AWS Amplify (Cognito, AppSync, DynamoDB, S3)
• Visual Philosophy: Inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics, with a touch of wabi-sabi simplicity

❤️ Invitation
If you also feel overwhelmed by modern digital noise, or are interested in alternative approaches to personal data and UI design, I’d love for you to visit or share feedback.
I’m continuously developing new features (like AI-assisted search without ads), and I’m happy to hear any ideas or feelings from fellow wanderers.
