Hi, I'm truly sorry for the delayed response—your message dates back to September 11, 2025, and it somehow slipped through until now. Your suggestion is excellent! Many users have experienced intermittent connection issues due to multiple BLE phone keys (from phones and smartwatches) competing for the limited simultaneous connections. According to Tesla's official owner's manual, the vehicle can connect to up to three phone keys simultaneously via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). I will definitely add a clear hint about this limitation (with a reference to the Tesla manual) to the README. This should help other users avoid similar frustrations and increase overall satisfaction. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience—it directly helps improve the project for everyone! |

First of all, Thank you very much for this great piece of software! No need of any cloud based service and fine working charge management witch evcc and your proxy! Absolutely great work!
I have an idea to enhance your documentation / installation manual for the proxy.
As maybe some other people, I didn´t know also for nearly ONE year that a tesla only accept a defined number of BLE-Keys parallel. So, I had a lot of trouble with undefinable loss of connections, errors in the logs, causing many reboots and the ungood feeling, that evcc with TeslaBleHttpProxy is not always working reliable.
The solution for me (and as I read in other Forums / Discussions) was found lately, but is very easy:
Just take care that a max. amount of 3 BLE-Devices simultaneously can connect to your car!
I have a mobile, a smartwatch and a wife with the same equipment, so that constellation periodically caused errors with the charging management, when we stayed nearby the car, which happens very often, as the wallbox is in front outside our kitchen. The solution simply was to close the Tesla app on the mobiles, as we additionally wear our smartwatches, so we didn´t need it on the mobile always running.
The Idea: Give your users a hint and it will result in much more satisfaction about charging at home! Thank you!
