DB: Referencing to own table column

Creating a table where one column referenced to another column is possible, but it generates type errors in your IDE.

For example:

    columns: {
        id: column.text({ primaryKey: true, autoIncrement: true }),
        parentPostId: column.text({ optional: true, references: () => post.columns.id }),
    },
});

The use-case here is to allow parent/child relationships in posts (for example).

The solution (by Fryuni) is to import the type:

import type { TextColumnInput } from "@astrojs/db/types";

And then use that in the table schema:

const post = defineTable({
    columns: {
        id: column.text({ primaryKey: true, autoIncrement: true }),
        parentPostId: column.text({ optional: true, references: (): TextColumnInput => post.columns.id }),
    },
});
