keyboard shortcut to go to the input box quickly ?

and either a tooltip on input box or a menu entry, where to write that shortcut so that ppl can know about it

It may work if you just start typing (or press, say, space).

That's neat! it works but not from every situation. For example not after clicking in the right side pane on the bottom window or the space below it.
