Appreciate the report with the excellent detail. I believe this may be similar to things @bhjelstrom saw in some drop testing and other durability testing and made some improvements but he could speak to that for sure. |

This is something we believe has been fully addressed in the latest hardware -The copper pour for that standoff has been significantly expanded -The enclosure boss now contacts the standoff. On alpha units, there is a gap of at least 2 mm which means there is a significant risk of the standoff breaking-off during reassembly. As you tighten that screw, the standoff wants to lift off of the board. -There are now mechanical alignment pins between the metal enclosure and the pcb to prevent misalignment between them. During drop testing we found that standoffs and the m2 port could shear off due to misalignment. We actually first experienced this while assembling one of the early alpha units, so this was one of the first changes we made. Thanks @cpapplefamily and we can send a new unit your way. |

We removed the SystemCore from the robot the other day for some 2026 training and discovered a rattle in the Main Unit. The system remains functional. On further investigation, we found one of the back cover standoff posts detached from the board. This doesn't seem logical that it was the rattle when the screw was still well secured.
Unfortunately I was not there when the SystemCore was disassembled to investigate and the likely rattling offender was lost when the main board was removed.
There was one match the SystemCore did take a significant indirect Hit to the facee of the unit when out Robot arm hit our 0.25 poly cover that was ~ 1.0" above the SystemCore.
