This occurred when installing MINT. Havent tried other distros.
Reported on linuxmintwsl2 repo. They sent me here.

Version
10.0.26100.3775

Kernel Version
5.15.167.4-microsoft-standard-WSL2

Repro Steps
(Latest Win 11 Pro 24H2 Release channel)
Install mint
Execute Mint.exe config --default-term wt

Expected Behavior
Mostly I expected it NOT to corrupt itself.

Actual Behavior
You will receive error message that config is unknown option and mint.exe will now be 0 bytes long
