Updated logging to display more information about the executed requests and changed the authentication method.

I haven't used this script in quite some time. So is there a new way to authenticate?

I just saw your issue. Have you tested this in another environment that is not Raspberry pi?

I am so sorry, I completely missed your reply.

I just tested it some more and the old authentication works fine on Manjaro Linux.

However, I think that providing the credentials by using wget parameters is a better way as it seems like in some cases wget interprets the hostname after the @ as a port, which leads to my issue. Using parameters is definitely a way to improve overall compatibility.
