Extended solc versions contain the commit and compiler (eg. `0.4.18+commit.9cf6e910.Emscripten.clang`) This is useful for uploading Metadata to swarm and verifying contracts on Etherscan.

Thanks for all you do for the community!
I was trying to find the exact version of solc truffle was using so I could upload my contract metadata to swarm. I ran into this answer on stack exchange but that seemed sort of hacky.
Let me know if there's a better way to do this.
