This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.
First, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun devOpen http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.

The easiest way to deploy your Next.js app is to use the Vercel Platform from the creators of Next.js.

This project includes unit tests to verify the correct functioning of components and application logic.
The project uses Jest and React Testing Library for testing. The configuration includes:
- Jest as the testing framework
- React Testing Library for component testing
- Mocks for UI5 components
- ES module transformation for UI5 compatibility
To run all tests:
npm testTo run tests in watch mode (useful during development):
npm test -- --watchTo view code coverage:
npm test -- --coverageThe tests cover the following aspects of the application:
-
Dashboard Rendering: Verifies that the dashboard renders correctly with leave request data.
-
Status Filtering: Checks that filtering by status (Pending, Approved, Rejected) works correctly.
-
Request Approval: Verifies that the approval button changes a pending request to approved.
-
Request Rejection: Checks that the rejection button changes a pending request to rejected.
-
Date Sorting: Verifies that the sort button toggles between ascending and descending order.
The following UI5 components have been mocked in the tests:
- Button
- Select
- Option
- Bar
- Title
- Label
These mocks allow testing functionality without depending on the actual implementation of UI5 components.
