I write production software end-to-end — from data model to deployed UI. I work primarily in Java, Python, and React, and I'm currently focused on the intersection of applied AI and civic systems. I care about systems that ship, not slides that explain why they didn't.
- Backend systems — Flask APIs, REST design, authentication, file handling, third-party integrations
- Frontend engineering — React, interactive UIs, real-time dashboards, geospatial interfaces
- Applied AI — vision models for classification, LLM prompt engineering, retrieval, agentic workflows
- Geospatial software — interactive maps, GPS pipelines, location intelligence
- Data structures & algorithms — daily practice, problem-solving rigor

Build small. Ship fast. Iterate ruthlessly. Production reality beats whiteboard theory. The codebase that boots and serves a real user is worth more than the perfect design that never leaves the doc.
Read the error message. Then read it again. Most "impossible" bugs are precisely what the stack trace already said.
Working before pretty. Pretty before clever. Clever code without working code is just decoration on a broken thing.
Open to internship and full-time opportunities in software engineering, applied AI, and backend systems.
