This page summarizes the research task required as part of the interview process for Komodo's Mobile Developer (Android) position, posted on October 2013. Interviewees should read this page thoroughly and complete the task as soon as possible. Requests for clarification can be sent to info@kmo.do
The goal of the Research Task is to assess the following:
- Your ability to complete research in order to resolve problems that do not yet have a given solution,
- Your ability to work independently,
- Your ability to estimate how long you will take to complete a given research task,
- Your ability to tackle complex tasks outside your main area of expertise,
- Your ability to navigate and become familiar with code that others have written before you.
Research how the codebender toolchain and/or cloud services can be used to load compiled HEX files into Arduino-based boards, using a custom web page.
- Become familiar with the codebender project at http://codebender.cc
- Study the source of the codebender project available at https://github.com/codebendercc
- Write a simple HTML/Javascript page containing one button that, when pressed, loads a pre-defined HEX file into a given Arduino board
- Write a summary of your results in the form of a tutorial and send it to info@kmo.do
