Fixes #146

Note that this bug only crops up on Windows due to the way that backslash characters demarcate folders on that OS.

This PR fixes the bug by simply propagating the sanitization logic of events that was already present in some places in the repo (ex. readTevTsq.py Lines 130-132) throughout the repo (anywhere that events are used as a parameter).
