Pre-release

0.25.0

Initial port to 1.21.4. This version will likely not be supported for long, as I plan on skipping straight to 1.21.10/11.

New Textures

Thanks thyreo for more new textures!

This batch is relatively small, although we are working on having Spear textures ready for Mounts of Mayhem.
The following items have new sprites:

  • Mythril Armor Items
  • Bronze Armor Items
  • Adamantite Armor Model (new!)
  • Palladium Armor Model (new!)
  • Sponge Nuke Core

The Adamantite and Palladium models were made by Icedmi, who is the author of the Reincarnation resource pack.
Be sure to check it out!

New Data Components

As a part of this port more abilities have been replaced by attributes or made into Data Components.
This includes the following:

  • Natural Feather Falling -> Vanilla attribute (minecraft:safe_fall_distance)
    • This change is meant as a small rework since reducing fall damage with Protection and Feather Falling makes this ability moot anyway.
    • If you receive any fall damage outside of falling (E.G. commands or modded shenanigans), you will now technically take more damage
  • Natural Smite -> new attribute (mythicmetals:undead_bonus_damage)
    • Works exactly the same as before: simply adding more damage onto mobs who are undead
    • Still stacks with the Smite enchantment!
  • Bonus Knockback -> Vanilla attribute (minecraft:attack_knockback)
  • Blast Mining -> new data component (mythicmetals:blast_mining)
    • When applied to any item stack, will dig a 33X tunnel, where X is the depth parameter
    • Existing Legendary Banglum tools are unchanged
  • Branding -> new data component (mythicmetals:branding)
    • When applied to any item stack it will apply the Heat status effect when hitting an entity
    • As before, the level increases by 1 50% of the time on hit.
    • Always increases on a critical hit
    • Caps out at the level the data component, determined by the max_heat parameter

Other Changes

  • Carmot Staff and associated components is now fully removed
  • Natural Fire Aspect is now hardcoded onto the Sword of the Aegis
    • No longer uses an Ability
  • Removed Dusts and their config option
    • These are becoming increasingly annoying to maintain, while not serving any function in the base mod.
    • Might be moved to an addon or something similar if they are actually useful to someone
  • Renamed and moved a bunch of recipes
    • This is a result of a lot of the recipes needing to be updated for 1.21.4
    • Most recipes are now generated by code.
    • There might be edge cases or errors with this, so please report any recipe problems should you find any!
  • Renamed star_platinum to star_platinum_ingot for consistency.
    • The language in-game is the same, although this should help + break recipes and tools which relied on this fact
    • Includes a registry alias, so any items you have should be converted
  • Renamed the "Prometheum Bouquet" to "Prometheum Rose" to match its new texture
    • Includes a registry alias, so any loose bouquets you have should be converted
  • Adjusted stats of the Adamantite Forge Controller
    • Done to comply with Alloy Forgery 3's updates
    • Now uses the mythicmetals:rare_plus_tier, which still applies tier 3 recipes
  • Removed recipe blacklist for blasting Mythic Metals gear in the Alloy Forge
    • Should be incredibly minor, although you can now smelt two pieces of equipment into 2-3 nuggets each

Pre-release

0.25.0-alpha.1

This alpha release is almost ready, although it contains a few issues which still needs more work.
These will come ASAP, and I do plan on adding Spears once I have effects/abilities ready for them,
so stay tuned!

Sorry for the long delay.
This holiday season has been hectic, which is why there is no 1.21.10/11 version out yet.
I did not plan on supporting 1.21.4,
but with Mojangs intense update cycle I've had to stop somewhere to properly port and refactor old systems.
All the mod assets are also now data-generated, which hopefully should be more robust to any data format changes.

Known Issues

  • Celestium Elytra rendering does not work
  • Runite Arrows do not have their increased velocity as before

Placeable Carmot Bell

This one is fairly simple. You can now place the Carmot Bell. Ring it as much as you'd like.
The healing ability still works, on a similar cooldown and smaller range.

Individual Ore Tags

This version adds individual tags for controlling which biomes every Mythic Metals ores spawn in.
This allows you to fully configure the features to your liking.

Here is an example on how the tags work together:

#c:in_overworld <- #mythicmetals:mythic_ore_biomes <- #mythicmetals:platinum_ore_biomes <= mythicmetals:platinum_ore

In order to move the ore, simply override its target tag.
In this case, you would want to add a tag with replace: true for platinum ore biomes.
For example:

#my_modpack:biomes_in_space <- #mythicmetals:platinum_ore_biomes <= mythicmetals:platinum_ore

Note that you do not need to specifically nest a tag. A list of biomes is fine.

Changes

  • Nether ores by default will now spawn in any biomes within the #c:is_nether biome tag
    • This affects Nether Banglum, Palladium, Stormyx, and Midas Gold
  • End ores by default will now spawn in any biomes within the #c:is_end biome tag
    • This affects End Stone Starrite
  • Aquarium Ores now spawn in the #mythicmetals:aquarium_ore_biomes tag
    • This includes #c:is_aquatic by default
    • This replaces the now removed #mythicmetals:aquarium_biomes tag
  • Prometheum Ores now spawn in the #mythicmetals:prometheum_ore_biomes tag
    • This includes #c:is_jungle and Lush Caves (minecraft:lush_caves) by default
    • This replaces the now removed #mythicmetals:prometheum_biomes tag
  • Osmium Ores now spawn in the #mythicmetals:osmium_ore_biomes tag
    • This includes #c:is_hill and #c:is_mountain by default
    • This replaces the now removed #mythicmetals:osmium_biomes tag
