This GitHub Action is designed to prepare Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) configuration files for use with Epic Online Services (EOS). It automates the process of updating the DefaultEngine.ini and optionally creates a DedicatedServerEngine.ini based on the provided inputs.
The action performs the following steps:
- Updates
DefaultEngine.iniwith provided Sandbox and Deployment IDs, Build ID, Client ID, Client Secret, Server Public Key, and Player Data Encryption Key. - Conditionally creates a
DedicatedServerEngine.inifile with provided content when theSERVERinput is set totrue.
- PowerShell must be available in the runner environment as the scripts are PowerShell commands.
- The configuration directory and
DefaultEngine.inimust be present at the specified location. - If creating
DedicatedServerEngine.ini, the content for it must be provided.
