ConcurrentTimedRotatingFileHandler Failed to delete old files

ConcurrentTimedRotatingFileHandler failed to delete old files when it reached the backupCount for the Flask API deployed in the OpenShift cluster. The same code is working fine in Windows. Are there any restrictions for the Linux OS? Can anybody help to resolve this issue?

It's hard to guess what might be wrong. Maybe permission issues? Do you have any log files with error messages or tracebacks (stack trace)? This package is fully supported on Linux.

So are you guys saying that the rollovers are occurring, it's just not cleaning up (deleting) old files that exceed the keep count?

If anyone having this issue could provide code that I could run that would help in debugging. As in, a repo that I can clone and run to see the issue.

Also, there was a new release recently 0.9.26 which actually did clean up some of the code relating to selecting files to delete in the Timed handler. So it's quite possible that whatever bug you had is already fixed.

@Preston-Landers, sorry to be lazy in providing only a hint, but I believe the issue is how the file extension is checked.
In getFilesToDelete(), the self.extMatch is matched against the file name, but it's supposed to match against the extension only (extMatch contains "^" and "$"). More precisely, against each of fileName.split('.'), as fileName can contain a counter as well.

Go ahead and try release 0.9.27 which should hopefully address this issue. If it's still reproducible under the latest release, please let me know - either here or in a new issue.
