PyDroidEchoBackup

PyDroidEchoBackup is a Python-based utility designed to simplify the process of backing up and restoring data on Android devices. Leveraging the power of Android Debug Bridge (ADB), this tool provides an efficient and user-friendly interface for transferring your essential data, including applications, shared storage, and app data, from one Android device to another. Whether you're upgrading to a new phone or need a reliable backup for your current device, PyDroidEchoBackup makes it easy to safeguard your data without the complexities often associated with device backup and restoration. Key Features: • Easy Backup: Create a comprehensive backup of your Android device with just a few commands. • Efficient Restoration: Seamlessly restore your data to a new device, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime. • Customizable Options: Choose what to back up – from apps and shared storage to system data. • User-Friendly: Designed with simplicity in mind, suitable for both technical and non-technical users. • Secure Handling: While the backup process is unencrypted for ease, users are guided on secure backup file handling. How It Works:

  1. Setup: Install ADB and ensure Python is available on your system.
  2. Backup: Connect your Android device, run the backup script, and confirm the backup on your device.
  3. Transfer: Securely transfer the backup file to your desired location or a new device.
  4. Restore: Connect your new device and run the restore script to replicate your data. Ideal for: • Users upgrading to a new Android phone. • Android enthusiasts needing regular backups. • Developers requiring frequent data transfers between devices. Getting Started: Refer to the README.md for detailed instructions on installation, requirements, and how to use PyDroidEchoBackup for your data backup and restore needs. Android Backup and Restore Utility

This repository contains Python scripts for backing up data from an Android device and restoring it to another device using ADB (Android Debug Bridge). It provides a simple interface to backup applications, shared storage, and app data, and then restore it on a new device.

Requirements

  • Python 3.x
  • ADB (Android Debug Bridge)
  • USB debugging enabled on the Android devices

Installation

  1. Clone this repository: git clone https://github.com/Samuelnyarko/AndroidCloneCraftPy.git
  2. Navigate to the repository directory:

Usage

  1. Backup

  2. Connect your old Android device to your computer via USB.
  3. Enable USB debugging on the device.
  4. Run the backup script: python backup.py
  5. Confirm the backup on your device if prompted.

Restore

  1. Connect your new Android device to your computer via USB.
  2. Enable USB debugging on the device.
  3. Run the restore script: python restore.py
  4. Confirm the restore on your device if prompted.

Scripts

  • backup.py: This script backs up data from the connected Android device.
  • restore.py: This script restores data to the connected Android device using a previously created backup file.

Notes

  • The backup script does not encrypt the backup data. Handle your backup file with care.
  • Some apps may opt-out of the Android backup service and therefore will not be included in the backup.
  • Restoring data will overwrite existing data on the device. Proceed with caution.
  • Ensure the ADB version is compatible with your Android devices.
