Replaced collectAsState() with collectAsStateWithLifecycle() in Jetpack Compose UI screens. collectAsState without lifecycle awareness continues background state collection consuming CPU and memory. collectAsStateWithLifecycle automatically pauses collection when the lifecycle falls below STARTED, improving background resource usage.
