My fish was hardly moving it's mount. Also had to remove some foam dampener inside the engine casing. These mods suite https://www.amazon.se/dp/B003I098ZM

  • PWM freq → 500Hz
  • mouth kickstart to overcome stiction

Hey @Effectsoft-Daniel ,

I had checked this out but in my case it made the movement weaker and there is an audible hum now from the motor. (That's the pwm frequency change)

Could you please check my latest version and see if it still is a problem for you (without your customisations?)

I have now made a couple of these and I did notice quite some difference in the build quality of these fish.
Sometimes I had to 'tighten' the little spring that is inside the mouth, to make sure it closes properly again.
And for the case I had where the mouth didn't move 'far' enough I changed the whole rubber skin completely, which seemed to 'fix' it.

Hey there!
Actually my mouth movement is also really low :(
I am connected to the motors with an L298N motor driver and I'm currently debugging why the hell the mouth only opens a few milimeters. Tail and head is fine, but it also seems like the motor there could be working a bit more.
It feels like the motor is not receiving enough current/voltage. Before I was powering the L298N with my raspberry pi 5V pin and now switched to the 4 AA battery pack (6V) which was powering the motors before. I thought that this would be enough, but correct me if I'm wrong. I will also check out this pr and try this maybe it fixes the issue from the software side.
