To see progress made please just run decode method. The encoder doesn't work. However, the decoder doesnt work either but it does print arraylist of numbers. Also timer is in the decoder method
I copied and pasted my code into her program that is why it looks exaclty the same

I was able to fix your program. Please note that I added a main method in the decoder class and didn't use your test class because Matteo's encoder didn't work on my computer. Let me know if it actually works on your computer!
